July 4- Annual display of Independence Day fireworks Extravganza . Karaoke, and street party begins at 4:00 pm. Fireworks begin at dark. Mindy's Cafe will be open with extended hours from 10-9. July 10- Water Color Class at DayMaker Cafe 6:00 pm. Artist Tim Pafford will take you from drawing to finished watercolor over the course of two hours. No previous experience necessary. July 11- Tennessee RiverLine- Do you enjoy paddling or boating on the Tennessee River, or walking, hiking and biking along its banks? Want more access to do this in Benton County?

Lori Lockhart, archivist with the Tennessee State Library, will present a session on World War I with a focus on Benton County at the Folk Life Museum. This event is free and open to the public. August- 3- Every 1st Saturday in  August TWRA holds the annual West Tennessee duck blind drawing at the Big Sandy City Park. August 30-31- Bargain Highway- The annual 30-mile yard sales stretches itself through Benton County every Friday & Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Following Highway 69 from Big Sandy to Holladay, the highway is densely populated with anxious sellers of second-hand treasures. September 21- Rock n' Race Weekend- Every 3rd weekend in September, the Eva Music and Arts Festival includes the best in local performers, arts, crafts, food and more. To add to the excitement, the Friends of Nathan Bedford Forest State Park has partnered with the Camden Central High School Rebound Club to bring you The Amazing Race. September 23-28- The Benton County Fair beginning annual on the 4th Monday of September , the week-long event offers a carnival, live entertainment, nightly events, 4-H competition, pageants for all age groups, antique tractor shows, food booths, concessions, and local competitor creations on exhibit. September 28- National Public Lands Day. Every 4th Saturday in September, Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park joins Tennessee State Parks with a conservation and preservation awareness day. A variety of events and service projects planned, including litter clean-ups, trail maintenance, hikes and even a few canoe floats. Events are being held at different times throughout the day. October 26- Haunted Trail. On the Saturday closest to Halloween at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. Every year near Halloween the Polk Creek Trail is visited by ghosts and ghouls of all kinds. Take a wagon ride from Shelter 1 to this ghostly site and be prepared for a scare!. For more information call the Park office at 731-584-6356.


November 2- Camden Merchant's Christmas Open House. Kick off the Christmas Season the first weekend in November with the Camden Merchants Association's Christmas Open House event. Sales, specials and refreshments.


November 1-2- Battle of Johnsonville Commemorative Living History Event- 1st Friday & Saturday of November. There will be artillery, infantry, calvary, and civilian demonstrations taking place at Eva Beach Day- Use Area in Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park and throughout Johnsonville State Historic Area. November 29- "The Day After Thanksgiving Hike". Always the Friday after Thanksgiving at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. Open to the public.

November 30- Lighting of :The Knob". One of the most spectacular events you will see during the Christmas season occurs on the last Saturday of each November at the top of Pilot Knob in Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. Thousands of lights, refreshments, holiday music, and an appearance by Santa Claus himself. For more information call the Park office at 731-584-6356.
