March 2- Weed Wrangle at Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park Eva Beach Area 2 PM- 4 PM. Eva Beach is the most highly used area of Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. Our goal is to make this area as beautiful and ecologically sound as possible for our visitors to enjoy. An invasive plant called privet has been encroaching on native plant species, taking over plant habitat and limiting the sucess of native species. The Weed Wrangle event has been very sucessful in removing privet from other areas of the park in the past. This year we plan to apply the same theory to the privet at Eva Beach. So join us on March 2 to make a lasting difference in the park's landscape! All necessary tools, gloves, etc. will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if desired. Please call the Park Office to register or more information at 731-584-6356.
